Randy Orton is a prolific wrestler. His wrestling and mic skills get more amplified when he’s a heel. Long before his current “Legend Killer” gimmick, heel Randy has done many vile things.
From attacking Stephanie McMahon to setting the Wyatt house on fire, Randy has done it all. However, one incident is still fresh in fan memory.
Randy Orton attacks John Cena Sr. on Raw
Back in 2014, Cena and Orton were feuding over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. After a fight with Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton destroyed everything in and outside the ring.
However, things got ugly when Randy Orton decided to attack John Cena’s father.
John Cena Sr. was immediately taken under medical consideration. John Cena later revealed that his father was strong enough to sustain such heavy blows from Orton.
“He was active and moving around when I was trying to talk to him. He’s tough. I get all my toughness from him, so he’ll be fine; he’ll be all right,” said John Cena to the WWE Network. WWE Universe highly criticized Orton for the attack.
Before this, a face John Cena and heel Orton’s 2007 feud saw John Cena Sr. getting involved. Orton again attacked Cena Sr. in the ringside area and delivered a punt with quick speed and efficiency.
Before Orton, Edge and Lita broke into his home in 2006 and assaulted him to enrage John Cena.
The 2014 feud between Randy Orton and John Cena ended at the following Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The ‘Viper’ successfully defended the title at Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber before losing it to Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30.
