Andy Murray has been handed a difficult draw at the bett1HULKS Indoors in Cologne as he will open his campaign against Fernando Verdasco with Alexander Zverev awaiting the winner in the second round.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Murray has accepted a wildcard entry into the ATP 250 event and he will face world No 59 Verdasco in the first round.
US Open runner-up Zverev, who is the top seed and has a bye into the second round, will take on the winner of the Verdasco-Murray clash.
Murray’s fellow Brit Kyle Edmund is also in the top half of the draw and he will face a qualifier first up and could meet the winner of the Zverev v Verdasco-Murray clash in the quarter-final.

World No 10 Roberto Bautista Agut from Spain is the second seed and leads the bottom half and he will face Hungarian Martin Fucsovics or Gilles Simon from France in the second round.
Third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime will face German qualifier Daniel Altmaier or a qualifier in his first round.
